Sheridan Media reporter Pat Blair looks back in time, over 100 years ago, to the impact of Spanish influenza as reported in the pages of the Sheridan Enterprise in 1918.

Six new cases of influenza for Saturday were reported to County Health Officer Hurd. One was outside of the city of Sheridan and the other five in families in which other members had been afflicted. No reports were made for Sunday up to noon today, Nov. 25. Two fatalities were reported for the weekend.

Miss Elsie Pelissier, deputy clerk of court, is able to resume her work today after her illness from the flu. Her illness was of about two weeks duration.

Mrs. M. S. Bergin, born Beulah Munford to a well-known family in Sheridan, died this morning at her home in Casper. The remains will be brought to Sheridan for burial at her old home here.
