Buffalo Council OKs Lease Agreement With YMCA

A lease extension between the City of Buffalo and the Johnson County Family YMCA was considered by the city council for the building that houses the Y in the Park.

Tim Cahhal, representing the YMCA, said he believed the YMCA had been leasing the building from the city for about 15 years, and gave more details on the existing lease agreement.

Mayor Shane Schrader said the lease agreement is for 10 years for a fee of $10 per year to be paid to the city by the YMCA.

The council voted to approve the lease agreement.
