Council Discuss Landfill Remediation, Rec. District Contract at Study Session

The City of Sheridan and the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality have been working with each other for the past four years on a Landfill Remediation Program Study for the City Landfill. At a City Council study session Tuesday night, officials with Wyoming DEQ presented findings from the study and recommendations for corrective measures at the landfill. City Utilities Director Dan Roberts explained what the next steps in the process are.

Roberts also updated the Council on the pay-as-you-throw and commercial organics pilot study that concluded in April. Also addressed during the study session was the operating agreement with the Sheridan Recreation District and the request for proposals for a golf pro at the Kendrick Golf Course.
