Gatchell Investigating Adding Solar Panels

The Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum in Buffalo is looking into the possibility of adding solar panels to the building to help offset the cost of electricity for the facility.
Kathleen Bruce Connell, chairman of the museum board, brought the idea before the Johnson County Commission at their last meeting to get approval to pursue the possibility.
She explained further.
After some discussion, Commissioner Bill Novotny said there was no need for action by the commission unless there was opposition to the museum looking into the possibility of adding solar panels to the building.
The museum will bring back designs and proposals on the project for the commission to review.
