City Continues to Work on the Budget

Officials with the City of Sheridan continue to work on the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year that begins on July 1. The City Council and Mayor Roger Miller, recently met virtually to discuss ways to reduce the budget before it must be adopted next month. Interim City Administrator Mike Jackson.

The Council also discussed temporarily delaying several upcoming projects and reducing allocations up to 25 percent for  external agencies that receive funding from the one-cent optional sales tax. Another round of budget discussions is scheduled for Wednesday at 4 pm. A public hearing on the budget resolution will be held on June 15, prior to Council’s consideration of the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
