Jo Co Commission Meets New Lake DeSmet Operations Manager

Johnson County’s Commissioners, at their regular meeting Tuesday, were introduced to the new Operations Manager at Lake DeSmet.

Paul Mavrakis has substantial knowledge of the lake and its past and current issues.

Commissioner Bill Novotny said the county is very fortunate to have Mavrakis as the Lake DeSmet Operations Manager with all of the experience with the lake he brings to the position.

Mavrakis and the other new members of the Lake DeSmet Advisory Board will have their first meeting in their new positions on Wednesday, April 16 at 1 p.m. in the Johnson County Commissioners Meeting Room in the historic courthouse.

The meeting is open to the public.
