Parks Director Provides Trails and Pathways Update

City of Sheridan officials recently received an update on the City’s trails and pathways. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
City Parks Director Steve Gage provided an update to the City Council and Mayor Rich Bridger on the history of the City’s pathways and trail system and where the City is today regarding the trails.
Gage said that a lot of recreationalists prefer the soft, natural trails compared to the hard surface trails. Gage said that in the 2014 and 2019 Parks and Recreation Master Plans, the public viewed trails and pathways as the number one recreational asset by want and use.
Gage said that they intend to put up some wayfinding signs along the trail system this summer and that they would like to expand on the wayfinding signs in the future along with some possible mile markers along the trail system.
