Commission Awards Scholarships, Gives Other Announcements

Sheridan County’s Commissioners, in their meeting Tuesday, announced this year’s recipients of the three Commissioner’s Scholarships, and made other announcements for the public.

The three $1,000 scholarships were awarded to 2020 graduates from high schools in Sheridan County.

The recipients are Alecia Thoney from Sheridan High School, Emma Schroder from Tongue River High School, and Jordan Frank from Big Horn High School.

Commission Chair Nick Siddle also announced his receipt of the preliminary FY 2021 Budget and that the courthouse would be closed Monday, May 25^th for Memorial Day.

Commissioner Terry Cram wanted to remind the public of the deadline for the Veterans Tax Exemption, which is the fourth Monday in May.
