Any organization that accepts any voluntary donations should be prohibited from taking forced-taxation dollars.
It’s either voluntary giving or forced taxation, not Both.
Every entity bellying up to the tax-payer supplied gov’t trough should be asked this simple question: Do you accept donations?
If so, then they are automatically barred from also getting tax dollars. It’s the only moral and constitutional way!
Tax dollars should only be used for vital gov’t functions like police, courts and basic infrastructure.
If you want to donate to the cats, then plz do so, but stop voting to put a gun to your neighbors head and forcing her to pay for “YOUR” causes.
When we drop the sales tax to 5% everyone will have more money and everyone can donate as much as they choose to worthy causes.
We’ll all just have a little more freedom and a little more money in our pockets, with a 5 cent tax!
