Johnson County Approves VOA Contracts

Johnson County’s Commissioners received updates on their programs run by Volunteers of America, and then approved contracts with the organization for the coming fiscal year.

VOA Juvenile Probation Coordinator Scott Duncan gave the updates to the commission at their meeting this week before the commission voted to approve the contracts.

The first contract is for the 48-hour Juvenile Hold Program for 20 bed days for a contracted amount of $2,000.

Second is for Drug Court for just under $38,000.

And the third is for nearly $28,000 for the county’s Diversion Program.

The contracts were approved contingent upon review and approval by County Attorney Tucker Ruby.
