Nine to Graduate Sunday from Arvada-Clearmont HS

Nine students will receive their diplomas from Arvada-Clearmont High School in graduation ceremonies at 2 p.m. Sunday in Clearmont.
Charles Auzqui, who’s superintendent of Sheridan County School District 3, said there are two graduation plans in place, both approved by health officials with Sheridan County and the state of Wyoming.
Auzqui said Plan B, to be implemented in event of inclement weather, would be to move the ceremonies into the high school gym with a more limited number of people attending.
Auzqui said if the ceremonies are outside, family groups of 10 to 15 would be allowed per student.
For the benefit of those who would like to attend the ceremonies but can’t because of limited numbers, Auzqui said the school district will attempt to live-stream this year’s graduation ceremonies to the high school’s Facebook page.
Auzqui said people can go onto Facebook to Sheridan County School District 3. He said people can expect about a two-minute delay.
Commencement speaker this year is Dan Barrett, a retired educator who does peer-coaching and professional development with District 3 teachers and staff. Auzqui said he also has done a lot of substitute teaching for the district and mentoring of students. Auzqui said Barrett has built relationships with the senior class over the past two years.
