Sheridan Commission Tables Decision on Lease Amendment

An amended lease agreement between Sheridan County and the Sheridan County Sportsman’s Association was tabled by the county commission at their last meeting.

According to the lease amendment, the BOCC and the Association want to modify an existing lease agreement dated November 4, 2020 to expand the lease premises.

Commissioner Holly Jennings explained her understanding for the amendment.

Two people attending the meeting spoke against the proposed amendment to the lease, citing a concern over loss of public access on the property.

The commission voted to table the decision until their next meeting to give representatives of the Sportsman’s Association and the public the opportunity to speak on the matter.
