Museum at the Bighorns Director Carrie Edinger made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to give an update on the remodel of the historic Woolworth building at 171 North Main.

The museum is three weeks into the first phase of construction and plans are beginning to become reality. Edinger is also updating the Museum Membership process and the website.

When Edinger is not performing those tasks, she and Operations Manager Chip King are prepping the areas for hardware while removing old lighting components and false ceilings of the building. She is also working with Downtown Sheridan Association Executive Director Zoila Perry to become a staple in the 3rd Thursday celebrations and other events.

Alongside permanent exhibits, Edinger wants to provide programming and temporary exhibits that will attract not only history loving visitors to the area, but to the history loving local residents as well.

Edinger said she has a goal to open the front section of the Museum at the Bighorns in June during the 3rd Thursday event with an exhibit exploring the history of the Woolworth building itself. To view conceptual renderings of the plans for the space, click here.
