Largest Dining for a Cause to take place March 4

The Food Group is a 501(c)3 with the mission of feeding children who may otherwise go hungry. A grassroots effort that began with a group of concerned parents, the nonprofit is now made up of volunteers who donate thousands of hours of time operating and maintaining a variety of programs developed to get food to the children of Sheridan County.
In recent years, these programs and the dedicated volunteers have grown to reach approximately 800 children a week.
Dining for a Cause was initially founded by Kim Love, former owner of Sheridan Media and co-owner of Frackeltion’s Restaurant. The goal of the program was to donate a portion of the profits made by the restaurant to a featured nonprofit organization.
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Executive Director of the Food Group Keri McMeans, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Reverend Mike Evers and Love, invited the public to take part in the largest Dining for a Cause in the history of the event which will benefit The Food Group.
Love said this Dining for a Cause is a little different and presents a challenge to the residents and hungry visitors of Sheridan County.
