Updated Public Health Orders Will Ease Restrictions

Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon at a news briefing Wednesday, announced that updated public health orders effective Friday, will ease restrictions on several business categories and permit restaurants to resume indoor table service statewide. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Governor Gordon said that the modified orders allow restaurants to offer indoor and outdoor dining service under specific conditions to limit the potential spread of COVID-19. Gordon said that all three of the public health orders have been updated with an expiration date of May 31.
The Governor outlined some of the conditions of the updated orders.
The further easing of orders expands the public gathering limit and permits larger gatherings for churches, religious organizations and funeral homes as long as they implement social distancing measures and specific sanitization procedures. Guidelines for childcare centers and home day-care facilities have been adjusted as well.
The Governor also announced that he has allocated $17 million in federal CARES Act funding to expand COVID-19 testing, improve contact tracing and add to the state’s supply of personal protective equipment.
