JCHC Continues Search for ‘Hospitalist’

The Johnson County Healthcare Center is still looking for a provider to be their new “hospitalist” after the previous one, Dr. Amber Kinner’s resignation took effect in January.
At the hospital board meeting for January, JCHC CEO Luke Senden gave the latest to the board on the search for her replacement.
Senden said its important to wait and find a hospitalist that is the perfect fit for the facility, but added that is is becoming “a process” to find one.
According to WebMD, a hospitalist is a doctor who provides care for patients at a hospital. They have the same education and training as a primary care doctor, but specialize in providing hospital care. They may also have other specialties such as pediatric medicine, internal medicine, or family medicine.
