Johnson County Passes Updated COVID-19 Resolution

Johnson County’s Commissioners, at their Tuesday meeting, rescinded Resolution #631 and passed Resolution #635, updating the county’s limitations on county facilities due to COVID-19.
The new resolution allows the public access to most county facilities with some restrictions on access.
Essentially, the courthouse, Judicial Center, sheriff’s office, Justice Center, Detention Center; Harold Jarrard Park; Road and Bridge; County Fairgrounds; Extension Office; Jim Gatchell Museum; and County Library in Buffalo and Kaycee are all open to the public with restrictions.
The Mikesell-Potts Campground and the recycling center will open to the public on May 11th.
The Bomber Mountain Civic Center and County Planning Office remain closed to the public at this time.
