Johnson County Health Officer Dr. Mark Schueler updated the hospital board of trustees on the COVID-19 situation during their recent meeting, saying the expected peak of corona virus activity is this week.

He said the county has been fortunate so far that the number of positive cases has been low.

Healthcare Center CEO Sean McCallister gave some updated numbers from the facility to the board as well.

He said as of Friday, they had tested an additional five people in their COVID Clinic, with eight test results pending.

There have been 68 total tests performed on county residents including six tests done in Sheridan early in the crisis.

They have quite a number of tests in reserve, he said.

McCallister said with although their have not been any positive tests in the county since April 9th, the facility is remaining vigilant and prepared in case there is a larger outbreak or resurgence of the virus locally.

But as of now, they are supporting the county health officer in his decision to gradually open certain businesses.

Well that is strange because according to someone I know, our Hospital is full! And other news stations say Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming are getting many cases of Covid? Mind explaining that? Tired of the Republican MISINFORMATION to keep us uninformed of what is REALLY GOING ON! Where’s the transparency?
