Ron RichterFederal grant money was an item of discussion at Monday night’s Sheridan City Council meeting. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
A resolution authorizing the submission of an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant application to the U.S. Department of Energy was approved by the City Council at their business meeting Monday night. The City is eligible for $75,670 from the Department of Energy to pursue projects that promote cost-saving energy efficiency. City Engineer Thomas Morneau says the grant money will be used to replace an antiquated furnace at City Hall.
Morneau said the City will submit the application for the grant prior to the application deadline of October 31.
