The Sheridan County Courthouse will remain closed through 5 p.m. Friday, May 8, but county officials have provided a drop box for delivery of documents through that time.

The box is located on the courthouse at the corner of Brooks and Burkitt streets.

County officials say this is a safe and secure way to deliver documents to the courthouse. Documents must be in a sealed envelope and addressed to the appropriate office. This will ensure the documents are delivered to the correct office in a timely manner.

While the courthouse remains closed, the public is encouraged to utilize the drop box, mail, email, phone or online services to conduct business. The court system remains open with limited access during this time.

The courthouse will be reopened at 8 a.m. May 11.
