Aaron PalmerAn amendment to a cooperative agreement between Sheridan County and the Wyoming Department of Transportation concerning County Road #139, a/k/a East Ridge Road, has been accepted and approved by the county commission.
County Engineer Ken Muller, at the commission’s Tuesday meeting, gave more details on the amendment to the Federal project, saying it was good news for Sheridan County.
Muller said the amendment will save the county about $600,000 on the project, and recommended the county enter into the agreement.
The commission voted to do so.

Thanks to the Board for letting me speak on the ballot question. Including the expected duration of the Cap Tax, which is over 10 yrs. would have been good info. to have on the ballot.
Also, a simple addition to clarify what we are actually voting on.
Voting FOR, will re-impose the 6% sales tax, while Voting AGAINST will drop the sales tax to 5%.
That is not clearly stated on the ballot and may confuse some voters. Of course I’m assuming that the Board, who wrote the ballot question, actually wants the public to understand what they’re voting on.
Remember, the spending has already been decided on. The voter is only being asked: Do you prefer a 6% or 5% sales tax?
On 5 November, let’s drop it to 5%
