Buffalo Council OKs Requests for Fire Relief Event

Buffalo’s City Council was asked to approve a number of variance requests for an event designed to raise funds to help those affected by the wildfires this summer.
Ashlea Bassett, one of the organizers for the event, gave more details to the council during their last meeting.
Bassett said the idea is to bring the community together with those that were affected by the fires.
After the potluck dinner, organizers want to have a live band for a dance on Main Street to close out the day.
The council approved the street closure from 3 p.m. until midnight on Saturday, October 19, and also approved a noise ordinance variance for the street dance afterwards.
More detailed information on the event will be released in the coming days.
