Ron RichterUpgrades to the Sheridan Wastewater Treatment Plant were discussed at this week’s City Council study session. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
There are two clarifiers that are part of the processing equipment at the Sheridan Wastewater Treatment Plant. Project Manager David Ford said both clarifiers have run their course and are in need of replacement. Ford, at this week’s City Council study session, presented details of the Clarifier Replacement Project that includes the removal and replacement of both the north and south clarifiers at the wastewater treatment plant.
Ford said that staff is recommending the Mayor and City Council award the Clarifier Replacement Project to Prospect, the lowest qualified bid, in the amount of $2.6 million. The item will be on the consent agenda for the Council’s regular business meeting on Monday, September 16.
