Laura Dalles, Senior Public Relations Specialist for the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) District 4, issued a release Friday to update the public on the Buffalo Main Street project for the week of September 15.

On North Main Street, paving continues on the southbound lane and should be wrapped up later in the week.

Milling of the northbound lane is expected to be completed by Monday, September 16. Once the southbound lane is paved, traffic will be moved to the new surface.

Once the main line is complete, WYDOT will close the eastbound I-90 off ramp, Exit 56A, for about 3 days to mill and pave that section of road. Traffic will be detoured to the I-90/I-25 interchange.

WYDOT will keep the public informed on when that will happen.

Crews are are continuing to work on the Bennett Street/Main Street intersection and hope to be done with that intersection early in the week.

WYDOT asks that motorists refrain from using the movie theater parking lot as a through street.

With roughly six weeks left in the construction season, the contractor will be working Saturdays.

Dalles will be scheduling a public meeting for the end of October or first of November to update the community on what to expect next spring.

She will be sending invitations to the meeting in the coming weeks.
