Ron RichterDetails of a resolution to adopt the 2024 Wyoming Region 1 Hazard Mitigation Plan were presented to the City Council and Mayor Rich Bridger at a Council study session Monday night. Sheridan County Emergency Management Coordinator Jesse Ludikhuize says the current hazard mitigation plan expires this year.
Ludikhuize said adoption of the hazard mitigation plan is a required condition of future funding for mitigation projects under multiple FEMA pre-and-post disaster mitigation grant programs. The resolution adopting the plan will come before the City Council for consideration at their regularly scheduled business meeting Monday, September 16.
