Laura Dalles, Senior Public Relations Specialist for the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) District 4 issued a release Friday on the Buffalo Main Street Project for this week.

Phase 1B, South Main Street, work in this area has been completed for this year.

Phase 3, North Main Street, full depth reclamation (milling) continues from Hart Street to Airport Road.

The northbound lane is milled and contractors will continue milling the center lane this week.

Northbound traffic has been moved to the milled surface as of August 23. Southbound traffic will be moved back to the paved surface until next week.

When the center lane is milled, southbound traffic will be moved to the center lane, likely late next week.

Expect head-to-head traffic, reduced speed, and heavy truck traffic.

Key approaches to businesses and side streets will be accessible.

Phase 4, Downtown Main Street, work continues at Onderdonk and the intersection with Main Street will be closed to remove and pour the double gutter.

The public is asked to watch for sidewalk closures and lane closures, traffic control, and sidewalk detours.
