Buffalo Outdoor Pool Closes Early Due to Broken Pipe

The Buffalo Outdoor Pool, located at Washington Park, has closed early for the season.

According to a release from the city, a pipe below the pool has broken, causing gravel and sediment to seep into the pool.

The pool has been closed to make repairs that will include draining the pool to gain access to the pipe below the pool itself, followed by repairs and patching of the pool structure.

The original date scheduled to close th pool for the season was this coming Sunday, August 18, but with the needed repairs the pool is now closed until the 2025 summer season.
