The Sheridan County Fair Youth Livestock Sale sold 218 total animals bringing in a total of $619,179.50 for Sheridan’s youth.
First Northern Bank Senior Relationship Manager Brittany Gorzalka has provided the sales numbers for the Sheridan County Fair Youth Livestock Sale this year.
“Our committee would like to thank the Sheridan community for their years of support to make this another great sale,” Sheridan County Fairboard member, Youth Sale Treasurer and host of the Sheridan County Ag Podcast, Liz Kincaid, said. “We are thankful to have had some record high selling animals this year and look forward to next year’s Sheridan County Fair and Youth Livestock sale.”
The 2024 Sheridan County Youth Market Livestock sale featured: 36 Beef averaging $6.26/lb
114 Swine averaging $8.26/lb
42 Lambs averaging $9.89/lb
18 Goats averaging $672.22/hd
2 Market Pen of three Chickens averaging $867.50/pen
2 Market Pen of three Rabbits averaging $512.50/pen
2 Market Pen of three Ducks averaging $775.00/pen
2 Market Pen of three Turkeys averaging $650.00/pen
