Aaron PalmerJohnson County’s Commissioners have approved Resolution No.733 to apply for 2025 Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) dust suppression project funding through the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).
County Road & Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer brought the request to apply for funding before the commission at their meeting Tuesday, and explained the scope of the planned project for next year.
Funding will be an 80/20 split, with federal funds through WYDOT at just under $268,000 and the county contributing just under $67,000 for a total request of roughly $335,000 on the 2025 project.
Pehringer said the applications are due this month and will go to the committee later this fall who will decide the award amounts to the counties.
