Ron RichterThe University of Wyoming’s Sheridan Research and Extension Center will host its annual field day on Friday, August 16 at 1090 Dome Loop Drive. The event is free and open to the public and will cover topics relating to natural resource management, crop production and using new technologies in agriculture.
Sheridan Research and Extension Center Director Brian Mealor said that anyone that is interested in learning more about agriculture in the region, learning about the programs and opportunities that the UW has in the Sheridan area, and people who are simply curious about what kind of research is happening are encouraged to attend.
Participants will have a chance to hear about research projects during field tours and peruse scientific posters at lunch. Registration opens at 8 am with field tours beginning at 8:30. Lunch will be served at noon. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP by contacting the Sheridan R&E Center at shrec@uwyo.edu or (307) 673-2856 no later than Tuesday, August 13.
