The Buffalo City Council was given the latest on events and happenings with the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce.

During their last meeting, Chamber Board President Amber Eggers thanked the council for the One-Percent Funds they allocated to the chamber.

She also thanked the city for the recent work on the fountain at the chamber’s office on Highway 16 East.

She said the chamber is gearing up for the Fair and Rodeo Parade this Saturday, August 3 and that with all of the other events happening it will be a busy day.

She reported that they are getting bids for the replacement of the awnings on the chamber office downtown and that the board has been discussing the possibility of putting a mural on the side of their building and will be looking for a young artist that would be willing to do the mural.

She compared visitor numbers from 2023 to this year.

She wrapped up by saying she is grateful they have funding to staff the satellite office and have that open during the summer travel months.
