The board voted to accept the resignation of Casey Buhr, from the maintenance/Custodial Postion and bus driver positions. He also mentioned that there are other benefits to the Perkins grant.
Christensen also mentioned a new weather station at the school which is connected to an app that will give more up-to-date information about the weather, which will help the school to keep track of storm systems which may affect the bus routes, especially during the winter months.
The board discussed renewing their membership with the Wyoming School Boards Association, but no decision was made on the subject. They also voted for Karis Prusak to be the board member to sit on the Clear Creek District board.
Christensen also announced that the Community Back-to-School BBQ will be held on August 13th from 4-6 p.m. on the lawn at the Arvada-Clearmont School. He said that he wanted to thank the staff for working hard during the summer, and the maintenance crew for working on several big projects to get ready for the upcoming school year.
