JCSD1 Board Approves FY2025 Budget

During their regular meeting this week, the Board of Trustees for the Johnson County School District voted to approve and accept their proposed budget for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2025.

In the Budget Appropriation and Levy Resolution, the district approved a General Fund of $25.7 million, a GF ESSER Supplemental of $1.3 million; a Special Revenue Fund of $3 million; Major Maintenance Fund of $3 million; BOCHES at $250,000; Capital Projects at $500,000;Depreciation (special purpose) of $500,000; Debt Service of $75,000; Nutrition Services at $875,000; Teacherage of $75,000; and Internal Services at $100,000 for a total appropriation of $35.4 million.

The board also approved raising revenue through general taxation from the county and local sources of $14,750,000 and an additional 1 mill, or $410,000 for the Johnson County Recreation District and a half-mill for BOCHES in the amount of $205,000.
