The recent Annual Free Cleanup Days in Buffalo took over 65 tons or of trash off city properties and into the landfill, according to Buffalo Building Inspector Terry Asay.

Asay gave the city council more details at their last meeting.

City and county residents were able to take their trash to the landfill with vouchers issued by each, with the governments picking up the tab on the cost to use the county landfill.

The City of Buffalo paid nearly $5,500 in fees during the annual cleanup.
