Sheridan City Councilor Kristen Jennings resigned from the City Council earlier this week. Jennings recently started working for Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray and moved to Cheyenne for the job. Jennings’ term on the Council expires at the end of this year and her seat will not be filled until the election, said Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger.
There are four candidates who filed for one of three available seats on the City Council. They are current Councilman Steve Brantz, Bev Leichtnam, Jack Wood and Scott Van Dorsten. The two candidates for mayor are current Mayor Rich Bridger and Matthew Hamilton. The Primary Election in Wyoming will be August 20 and the General Election will be November 5.
