JCHC Board OK’s Change Order for Phase III of Construction Project

A $52,000 change order has been approved by the Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center for a portion of their Phase III of their current construction project.
Hospital CEO Luke Senden explained the issue to the board at their meeting
Wednesday night.
According to discussions, it appears that the architects on the project, Plan One Architects did not have the state review and sign off on designs before construction began on Phase III, which is frustrating to Senden and the remainder of the hospital board.
Senden also told the board that he has had difficulties in maintaining contact at times with the architectural firm.
The board approved the change order on the project.
