Aaron PalmerA Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Sheridan County Emergency Management (SCEMA) and the Dog and Cat Shelter has been approved by the county commission.
The MOU establishes a formal working mutual-aid relationship between the parties in support of Emergency Management’s planning, response, and recovery program.
According to the MOU, the shelter agrees to allow the use of its equipment, if available, to coordinate sheltering operations for animals displaced by emergency and/or natural disaster.
The shelter will allow SCEMA and the American Red Cross to periodically perform shelter reviews to plan for and update the Sheridan County Sheltering Plan.
The commission approved the MOU in their Consent Agenda.
