Liberty Poley of Buffalo has announced her intention to run for the seat in House District 40 (Johnson-Sheridan).

According to a release issued Friday, the twenty-two year old won her first election at the age of eighteen as a precinct committee woman.

Recently, the Johnson County Republican Party elected her to represent Johnson County at the Republican National Convention.

She pledged to uphold the values of Johnson County and Wyoming by voting for Donald Trump as the Republican Presidential Nominee.

Poley’s motivation to run derives from her concern of the availability young generations will have to the American dream their grandparents enjoyed.

She believes young Wyomingites need to be inspired with purpose and a vision of their own possibilities.

Poley hopes her campaign and service in the legislature can influence other young people to take an interest in politics, history, and the ideas that make Wyoming such an exceptional place to live.

She recognizes that Republics can only achieve liberty through participation and representation of constituents.

Poley sees unity between government and people in our state, “We are Wyoming and Wyoming is us.” All Wyomingites share the gift of living in this beautiful state. She seeks to protect and preserve Wyoming’s way of life for future generations.

Poley is a native of Buffalo.

She holds B.A. degrees in History and Political Science from the University of the Cumberlands.

During her Junior and Senior years of college, she earned Major of the Year in the Political Science department.

She is one of only five students in the program’s history to win the award twice. Poley was recognized by Intercollegiate Studies Institute, (ISI) as an Honor Scholar, which provided her with an exclusive opportunity to study among the top conservative students in America.

ISI’s Honor Scholar program allows college students to study the ideas of classical liberty and virtue.
