Pat BlairGround will be broken within the next two weeks for a new building for Kennon Products in Sheridan’s Hi-Tech Park.
Kent Anderson, who’s Sheridan College’s assistant vice president for facilities management, provided an update on the project at a meeting of the Sheridan Economic and Educational Authority Joint Powers Board Thursday.
Anderson said the contractor for the job, Sletten Construction, would be getting a projects trailer on site this week.
Anderson said everything is going well for the project, which is to construct a 35,000 square foot corporate and manufacturing building to replace the building on North Main Street that Kennon has outgrown.
Following Anderson’s update, the board ratified the contract with Sletten. Total cost of the project is around $5.7 million, of which a little over $5.6 million will be funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration.
