Aaron PalmerJohnson County has received the draft contract from Y2 Consultants for them to update the county’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
At an earlier meeting the county commission voted to award the contract to update the county’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan to Y2 Consultants of Jackson.
County Planner Jim Waller explained that the county attorney will be reviewing the draft contract and propose changes the county will want in the contract before returning it to Y2 for their review and approval.
He said once the contract has been agreed on by both parties, work on the update will hopefully begin this spring with a kickoff meeting and selection of the project team working on the plan update to be made up of members of the county commission, planning & zoning commission and planning department staff.
The contract with Y2 Consulting is for a not-to-exceed amount of $109,000.
