JCSD1 Board Accepts Bid for Chromebooks

The Johnson County School District #1 Board of Trustees voted to accept a bid from one vendor to provide the district with Chromebooks for students.

Nine bids were received by the district and graded on a point system taking cost, specifications, and other criteria to rank the bids in order of preference.

Christy Betz, with the District Technology Department, was asked why the vendors were not named in the award process.

After the award, Staples was named as the winner of the bid at just under $125,000 to provide 325 of the units to the district.

The Chromebooks will be paid for with funding from Esser 3.
