State Senator Dave Kinskey (R-Senate District 22) is in Cheyenne for this year’s legislative budget session and he will be updating Sheridan Media about happenings during the session.

Today he talks about the vote in the senate to reinstate him as the chairman of the Joint Appropriations Committee during the first week of the session.

He explains why he thought it happened.

According to a report from Cowboy State Daily, Wyoming Senate President Ogden Driskill (R-Devils Tower) “made the decision to replace Kinskey in April 2023 after what he described as a ‘recurring pattern’ of poor communication from the Sheridan legislator.”

The Senate, last week, voted 17-14 to reinstate Sen. Kinskey as chairman and remove Sen. Tara Nethercott (R-Cheyenne), who was appointed by Driskill last year, from the position.
