Sheridan Recreation District Outdoor Recreation Program Supervisor McKoy Feland told listeners of Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, there is snow on the mountain and now is the time to hit the slopes.
Compared to many previous years, it’s been a winter with very little snow. That may be beneficial to certain occupations and travelers, but winter recreation has taken a hit this season.
The Sheridan Recreation District is taking advantage of more recent snowfall with a youth ski trip to Antelope Butte on Friday Feb. 23.
Feland said there are also trips scheduled for the upcoming spring.
