Sheridan Commission Backs Fire District Grant Application
Sheridan County’s Commissioners have voted to send a Letter of Support on behalf of the Tongue River Fire Protection District on their application for a Mineral Royalty Grant.
At the county commission’s regular meeting this week, Fire Chief Don Dobrenz explained what the grant funding will be used for if it is approved.
The grant application is for $1 million, with the Tongue River Fire District hoping to purchase a new pumper truck.
According to discussions at the meeting they may have to settle for a used one if a new one isn’t readily available.

The first commissioner to come forward with the truth, may get a lighter sentence from the Judge. Maybe even be allowed to remain in office, with only a modest fine.
Surely one of the four has some integrity. At least one must care about his legacy. Is honor still with us?….or is it just about retaining power?
If we follow the rest of the country down the dangerous road to ruin, we may lose the last, best hope for freedom, that is Wyoming.
Do we follow the law and keep Faith with the Sacred Public Trust? Or do we allow the arbitrary rule of feelings and whim?
