Jo Co Certifies Legal Expenses for Mineral Tax Collection

Johnson County’s Commissioners have certified their legal expenses for the recovery of mineral taxes owed to the county.

Commission Chair Bill Novotny explained why the certification is needed.

The commission voted to approve and certify the county’s legal expenses in the effort to recover delinquent mineral taxes for 2023 in the amount of $172,964.99.
