Aaron PalmerDuring his recent report to the city council, Buffalo Police Chief Sean Bissett said swatting calls are still happening in the community.
Bissett said the reaction from the community was fast, about 15 minutes from when the call came in to when messages were out to parents and the community that it was a swatting incident.
He said the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are continuing their investigations into these incidents.
According to the Associated Press, swatting is the act of making a prank call to emergency services to prompt a response at a particular address. The goal is to get authorities, particularly a SWAT team, to respond.
