Sheridan Commission OKs Cancellation of Outstanding Warrants

Sheridan County’s Commissioners have approved a request from Treasurer Katie Araas to cancel all unpaid/outstanding county warrants which have been issued for more than 12 months.

Araas explained the reasoning for the request during the commission’s last meeting.

According to discussions at the meeting, the canceled warrants are not for money owed to the county, but money owed by the county to individuals and companies.

The list of warrants canceled by the Treasurer can be found on the county website published in the commission meeting minutes from the December 19 meeting when they are posted.
