JCSD1 Board Elects New Officers for 2024

The Johnson County School Board, at their regular meeting Monday night, elected new officers for the coming 2024 fiscal year.

Before nominations, outgoing Chairperson Jan Johnson took time to thank those that helped her during the last year as chair of the board.

Elected were Travis Pearson as the new chairman; Jodi Verplanke as the new vice-chairperson; Marcia Goddard as the new clerk; and Casey Rodriguez as the new treasurer.

Later in the meeting the board also assigned trustees to various boards and committees, and we will have that in an upcoming story.
