At their regular Tuesday meeting the Sheridan County Commission will consider a Resolution opposing the proposed land exchange between the Columbus Peak Ranch, LLC and a tract of State Trust land near Dayton.

Also on the agenda for the meeting is consideration of a grant award agreement between the county and the State Office of Homeland Security; an Inter-local Cooperation Agreement between the county and the City of Sheridan on a shared report management system and a Resolution for a Notice of Intent to vacate a portion of a right-of-way of Willow Circle in the Ponderosa Subdivision in Story.

The regular meeting will be Tuesday morning beginning at 9 a.m. in the Second Floor Board Room, #220, in the Sheridan County Courthouse Addition.

The public is welcome to attend.

  1. I plead to the Commission to oppose this land exchange! The potential short-term financial gain is miniscule to the its superb wildlife and fishery in relation to the land east of Dayton. We must preserve this land for future generations.
