Sheridan Hawks Host Successful Military Appreciation Weekend, Draws Full Crowd

The Sheridan Hawks commenced a special Military Appreciation Weekend with a ceremonial puck drop by two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Chicago Blackhawks, Dan Carcillo, and honored guest Veteran Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher.

In a weekend series, the Sheridan Hawks Jr. Hockey team faced tough competition from the Gillette Wild, ultimately falling short in both Friday and Saturday’s matchups. Despite the setbacks, the games exhibited a notable decrease in physicality and penalty minutes compared to the spirited contests witnessed in the previous matchup.

Adding to the weekend’s spirit, the Hawks extended gratitude to current military personnel and veterans during the special Military Appreciation Weekend. Attendees enjoyed complimentary admission to the games, participated in a military jersey auction, and a Hawks donation to The Wounded Warrior Project.
